God calls First Presbyterian Church into being as a vibrant faith community founded in Christ’s love and alive in the Holy Spirit. Everyone who desires an encounter with the grace of the living Christ finds hope among us. All who seek to experience a sense of belonging and acceptance can experience a new depth of affirmation in our midst.

Beginning Thursday, September 15, at 7:00 p.m. in the church parlor we resume the journey of“Experiencing the Presence of God.” This is a gathering of people longing for adeeper relationship with God in Christ. It begins with a short, gentle yogasequence. This is followed by a time of silent meditation. The time togetherconcludes with Lectio Divina, or “Holy Reading,” Bible study. Lectio Divina islistening for the Holy Spirit to speak through the reading of Scripture and ifyou wish sharing what you heard. Please try this discipline and participant inthe invitation to come into deeper contact with the living Christ.
